Missy Shinoski has been clogging since age 7 and teaching since she was 15. She was the instructor/director of the Klogghoppers of Kansas City, MO for 25+ years. Both Missy & her team won multiple championships, between the years 1987 to 2002. Missy took home 10 National Female Solo Titles, during her competition years. She has taught throughout the USA, several times in Canada & other countries. Through her clogging she has represented the United States overseas 11 times (performing in: Spain, Portugal, Italy, Russia, Austria, & teaching in the Czech Republic, Australia (three times), Germany (ECTA- 2 times) & on a cruise to the Bahamas).
Missy is certified as a clogging instructor (CCI) and NCHC judge & judge rules representative. She was the Executive Director of the American Royal Barbecue Clogging Classic competition for 9 years. Then Missy hosted the America’s Heartland Clogging Championships for the next 9 years. She also hosted the annual City Slicker Stomp Workshop & Competition, in Independence, MO. The event celebrated its 22nd year in the Spring of 2023.
She served as a board member for CLOG for 5 years (2007-2012). Missy also served as the Vice President, Co-President and Co-Vice President of the Missouri Clogging Council. Missy created the original USA National Dance List in 2002. She was inducted into the National Clogging & Hoedown Championships (NCHC) Hall of Fame & in 2014 she was inducted in the W.N.Y. Cloggers Association Hall of Fame. November 2024 marked Missy’s 36th year of teaching for the National C.L.O.G. Convention.
Missy has choreographed for her own teams, workshops, other competition teams & Silver Dollar City (in Branson, MO). Her ability in choreography & teaching clogging has gained her national and international recognition. She loves to clog & looks forward to sharing that love with you on the dance floor!
